Fishers of Men Evangelistic Outreach Ministry:
The purpose of the Fishers of Men Evangelistic Outreach Ministry is to compel men and women, boys and girls to Jesus Christ. Our message is the good news of the Gospel, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) The Fishers of Men exist to serve beyond the walls of the church and reach those who have fallen into the cracks of society and perhaps will never enter into the church except compelled to come.
Free Indeed Substance Abuse Ministry:
The Free Indeed Ministry exists to minister to those suffering from addiction that they may come to know Jesus Christ as a deliverer and healer, so that they may become constructive citizens of society and responsible Christians transformed and empowered to share God’s love in this world.
International Connection Ministry:
The International Connection Ministry exists to befriend, assist and assimilate foreign-born members in the general body of the church while at the same time facilitating cultural exchange and understanding.
Married Couples Ministry:
The Married Couples ministry exists to provide guidance and instruction that will enable married couples to fully understand God’s plan of the marriage covenant and the structure and function of the Christian family.
Men’s Fellowship Ministry:
This ministry provides discipleship and fellowship exclusively for the adult men and the young men of the Open Door Church. It provides a vehicle for spiritual growth that includes teaching, worship services, mentoring and constant prayer for one another. It is the goal of this ministry to serve as models for the young men.
Restoration Prison Ministry:
The Prison Ministry is an outreach ministry that operates in the capacity of Christian love to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to incarcerated individuals in and out of prison. Our mission is to promote the Word of God to inmates of designated prisons; to encourage the hearts of present converts; and to inform the lost that Jesus is the true and living God and prayerfully bring them to a personal decision for Christ. It is the hope that through biblical education, community resources, and spiritual literature that generational cycles are broken and strong Christian foundations are built.
Seniors Ministry:
The Seniors Ministry exists to provide a loving, protective environment where the senior saints can fellowship and continue to mature spiritually as they age gracefully in the Lord.
Single Again Ministry:
The mission of the Single Again Ministry is to show the love of Christ to church members who are separated, divorced or widowed. Our main goal is to provide a compassionate, unconditional and supportive outreach through discipleship and fellowship, connecting us to God as our source of strength, healing and love.
Singles’ Ministry:
The Singles’ Ministry exists to empower and encourage singles to seek to understand a biblical perspective of being single and provide opportunity to use their singleness to serve the body of Christ and the world.
Sunday School Ministry:
The Sunday School exists to present the good news of Jesus Christ in such an appealing fashion that children, youth and adults will be nurtured and grow in the Christian faith. We encourage each student to make a personal commitment to Christ and to be empowered to live as a faithful disciple.
The Comfort Ministry:
The Comfort Ministry is committed to helping those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. We offer a supportive, spiritual environment where people feel safe to share their grief. Grievers need a place where they can tell their story, and they need to know they have been heard. They need to know that someone is listening and that someone cares. The Bible states, “Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4)
The Prayer Ministry:
The mission of the prayer ministry at Open Door Mission True Light Church is to pray, encourage, motivate and train others to pray. Opportunities are provided for our members to pray, privately and corporately, so that they can know and experience God intimately, serve Him diligently, and intercede fervently on the behalf of our leaders, church, community and world. “…for mine house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.” Isaiah 56:7
Vacation Bible School/Summer Camp/Saturday Bible Club:
These youth outreach ministries exists to inspire the youth of the church and community through the teaching of the Word of God, to bring about life transformation and to fulfill the plan, purpose and destiny God has designed for them. Through teaching and mentoring the children will develop in vocational skills, life skills, academic performance and spiritual awareness. Opportunity is provided for leadership development through the Junior Leadership Program.
Women of Value Ministry:
Our purpose is to encourage, empower and enhance the lives of women by building bridges and relationships with one another through Jesus Christ. We provide opportunity through discipleship and fellowship to make disciples, become women of influence and ultimately, women who will make an impact to cause a spiritual explosion in our world.
Worship Ministry:
The mission of the Music and Arts Ministry is to lead and encourage participation of God’s people in a worship experience that will bring honor and glory to God, win lost souls to Christ, edify and empower the congregation through song, drama and dance.
Youth and Young Adults Ministry:
The Youth and Young Adults Ministry serves as an affinity discipleship and fellowship ministry for youth and young adults ranging in ages of 12 to 25. Our mission is to further develop the spiritual lives of every member of the youth department, to provoke worship, ministry centered and holy lifestyles, to cause every young person to begin to fulfill his or her purpose in this earth, and to unify the young people through regularly scheduled teaching sessions and activities.
